Bulk Fuel
Bulk Fuel Delivery in South Carolina
When you are buying fuel by the hundreds or thousands of gallons, the pump price is the least of it. What actually costs you money is the labor spent fetching fuel, the equipment hours lost to empty tanks, and paying retail for something you could buy on volume.
Erwin Fuel Co. delivers bulk diesel, dyed off-road diesel, DEF and gasoline across the Midlands of South Carolina — into your tank, onto your job site, or straight into your fleet. Same-day when you need it, scheduled when you would rather not think about it.
What we deliver in bulk
Everything below can go on the same truck and the same invoice.
Bulk clear diesel
Ultra-low sulfur on-road diesel for licensed trucks and equipment. Delivered into fleet tanks, day tanks or directly into vehicles.
Bulk dyed off-road diesel
The same ULSD, dyed red and sold without road tax for equipment that stays off public roads — excavators, dozers, generators, pumps and farm equipment.
Bulk DEF
ISO 22241 diesel exhaust fluid pumped into your own DEF storage, or swapped out in 275-gallon totes. Usually delivered on the same visit as diesel.
Gasoline
For mixed fleets and small equipment that still runs gas. Ask us about volumes and scheduling when you call.
Why operations switch to bulk delivery
The savings are rarely just the per-gallon price. They come from everything you stop doing.
- Lower cost per gallon. Volume pricing is the whole point — a single larger drop almost always beats repeated small deliveries, and both beat sending employees to a retail pump.
- No fuel runs. Every hour a crew spends hauling cans or waiting at a card reader is an hour you paid for and got nothing from.
- No downtime waiting on fuel. Equipment that runs out mid-shift costs you the machine, the operator and the schedule.
- Usage you can actually see. We itemize what went where, so fuel stops being one lump line item on the P&L.
- Price protection on volume. Steady volume gives you a real conversation about pricing instead of taking whatever the pump says that week.
- One supplier for diesel, off-road and DEF. One schedule, one invoice, one phone number when something changes.
Industries we fuel
Construction & site work
Bulk off-road diesel to job sites, delivered into on-site tanks or straight into equipment. We work around the sequence of the job rather than a fixed route.
Fleets & trucking
Bulk clear diesel into yard tanks, or overnight wet-hose fueling so every unit starts the day full and no driver burns paid time at a pump.
Agriculture
On-farm bulk tank fills with dyed diesel, plus DEF for newer tractors and sprayers. Scheduled around planting and harvest, not around our convenience.
Industrial & manufacturing
Plant tanks, yard equipment, forklifts and standby generators. Scheduled deliveries built around shift changes, gate access and shutdown weekends.
Standby & emergency power
Generator base tanks and day tanks topped off on a schedule, load-test refills, and 24/7 emergency delivery when the grid goes down.
Municipal & utility
Public works fleets, staged storm-response equipment and portable generators fueled in place so crews can deploy without stopping.

Bulk fuel delivery questions
Anything delivered in volume by truck rather than bought at a pump — into your own storage tank, a job-site tank, a generator base tank, or directly into a line of equipment. Practically speaking it starts in the few-hundred-gallon range and goes up from there. Call with your volume and we will tell you exactly where you land.
Our day-to-day range is the Midlands — Lexington, Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Gilbert, Irmo, Chapin and Batesburg-Leesville — where same-day delivery is routine. For larger contracts and long-haul jobs we go further, taking on work across South Carolina and the Southeast. Call with the location and volume and we will tell you straight whether it is a fit.
For almost any commercial operation, yes — and the fuel price is only part of it. You also stop paying labor for fuel runs, stop losing equipment hours to empty tanks, and get volume pricing instead of retail. Ask us to price your actual monthly volume so you can compare real numbers rather than estimates.
No. We deliver into your tank if you have one, and fuel equipment directly if you do not. Having storage usually lowers your cost per gallon, so if your volume is heading that way it is worth a conversation about whether a tank pays for itself.
Yes, and it is the easiest way to work with us. We set an interval that matches your burn rate — weekly, biweekly, or tied to your production schedule — and you stop thinking about fuel. You can still call for an extra drop whenever a job runs hot.
Same-day is routine across the Midlands for orders placed early in the day, and we run 24/7 for emergencies. Scheduled customers get priority when weather or an outage makes everyone call at once.
Yes. Many of our customers take clear diesel for licensed trucks and dyed off-road diesel for equipment on the same visit. We keep the products separated and label every drop, because putting dyed fuel in an on-road vehicle carries real federal and state penalties.
Constantly. Job sites, field edges, timber landings, staging yards and rural tracts are normal stops. Give us directions, a gate code if there is one, and the access conditions, and we will get in.
